Idiom: Castle

After skipping it twice, I come back with this week’s idiom:

an Englishman’s home is his castle

“this means that what happens in a person’s home or private life is their business and should not be subject to outside interference”

This is one of my favorites, actually. Not only due to the meaning, but also the picture :D I always love to see castle since there’s no such a thing in Indonesia. As mentioned by the idiom, castles are belong to the Englishmen, or let’s say western people. Anyhow, what this idiom means is not only for those people, right? It does apply for all of us! Human shouldn’t mind others’ own business, especially when it comes to private live. Unfortunately, human’s curiosity often defeats this rule…
